"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

An Update

A few weeks ago I posted (here) about my poor temple wedding cake topper. I've had several concerned people ask me how my super glue job worked out. So I thought I would post an update. Last week I attempted to fix the poor porcelain keepsake.

Here's the before:

Here's the during: Yes, the whole roof caved in. Apparently there was further structural damage than I realized. I was almost on the last piece and I pushed a little to hard and yep, back at square one and then some. I thought about quitting right then.

But the roof glued on nicely and here's the after:
It's not as good as I wanted it to be. The roof caving in caused the spire to be off. But I guess it "has character" now.

Ta Da! Thanks for the update, and to think it was a sweet little girl who broke not two rowdy boys!

Oh that is great! You did a great job! Oh by the way I can't find your number and am wondering if you got the invite to Alex's party this Saturday?
