"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Happy "Green Milk" Day!!

I don't understand my kids sometimes. They are picky eaters on a normal basis, but once a year I make green eggs, green pancakes, and green milk and they all sit down to the table and yell "YUM!" I don't get it. You'd think they wouldn't touch it. I love that my kids are still amazed at how Mommy can change milk into different colors. Derek has caught on, but it's still magic to the others.

After dinner I put together a treasure hunt for the kids. At the end was a "pot o' gold" with a treat for each child. They love the clues and the prize at the end, and I love that all the running up and down stairs gets them tired for bedtime.

Hope you had fun "Green Milk" day!

I've got to know... why do the boys have normal plates, but your GIRL has a mondo Spiderman plate?

There must be a story in there.

Funny. The "mondo Spiderman plate" is a placemat and Dave is holding her plate of food. She actually prefers that placemat over any other. Go figure.

I think G. Judy gave the family that placemat--if not, I meant to. That's why. . . Never thought of green pancakes. Very cute. Just a note about our Irish ancestry, of which I have been very proud--we might be Scottish instead--my mom never could find any records in Ireland--Ancestory.com is alluding to Scotland in some documents from border crossings into/out of Canada. More to come...Love, G. Judy

Yes, that placemat is from you, Judy. You gave us two, in fact. McKenna is very thankful. :)

What? No Irish blood! Don't tell Jason...he'll be crushed. :)

I just love that McKenna has a Spider Man plate (at least that's what it looked like to me :)).... Brad always had the princess and pink ones when he was that age.
