"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Doug's Fabulous Tour de San Fran

Doug took us on a great tour of San Fransisco. The first stop was a visit to the Golden Gate bridge. It was so amazing to see it in person! (I'll add more pictures when they are developed. Blasted film camera!)

I miss you Laurel! :(

Next stop was a visit to Fisherman's Wharf to check out the sea lions. So cool! They were so interesting to watch. I'll post pictures later...again, blasted film camera! Then we took a ride on a cable car up to Chinatown. The cable car was definitely a highlight. I never realized the muscular strength that it takes to ride one. Riding up the steep hills forced me to grip the pole as tight as possible, otherwise I would have slid down my seat and flattened Doug who was downhill from me. I'd love to go back to Chinatown without kids. There was so much shopping to be had, but the kids got restless!

Look for more pictures of SF in a later post!

Natalie - I love your emails and blogs. We're enjoying your husbands company - Sadie loves having him play with her, though we wish you and the boys were here also. San Francisco is one of my favorite places - glad you had a good time...Happy Birthday to Taylor!
