"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Dye Eggs!...Die!

The night before Easter we ...(meaning the little boys and I) colored eggs.

But the coloring was merely a preliminary for the main event.....EGG WARS! Man, those eggs we demolished in minutes. I have to say that it is great fun.

Dave is not a fan of boiled eggs. He wouldn't even come in the kitchen while we were dying them due to the smell. I challenged him to an egg war and this is how he protected himself from the dreaded boiled egg.

Um, judging by all the protective gear that the kids are wearing, either you guys really get into dying those eggs, or Dave has convinced the boys that Easter eggs are toxic. Interesting do-rag Derek is sporting. Our boys don't like to do egg wars - it ruins their beautiful creations. Hmm.

you are nicer than I am. My girls were naked and I had protective cloth draped everywhere for egg dying. I did NOT want any dye spilling or making a mess. Dave looks so funny. Love Allie

This is a good picture. His good looks really pop in this shot.

I have this picture on display life size as well. When I show him off to company and brag about how beautiful good looking he is is I refer to Derek as my pretty little beauty. Privately I enjoy walking up to him and kissing him, especially after a hard day at work.
