"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

July 25, 2009...

The anticipation...55 minutes of it! We sat staring and waiting. Staring at what you ask?...

This opening in the woods... For who you ask?...
...For this studly man!! And why did the kids go running to that studly man that came running out of the woods?
To congratulate the studly man on completing his first triathlon!!!!
Here is the said studly man.

Dave only trained one month for this race and got a flat tire during the biking. So all of that set him back, but I am so proud that he finished!! I wanted to hug the life out of him when I saw him, but let's just say that he was wet...and not from the swimming portion either.

Here's the group from work (and their families) that also swam a mile, biked 25 miles, and ran 6 miles. Way to go!!

The race was in Burley, Idaho. Dave and the group stayed over the night before in the basement of a very nice house. The kids and I drove up the morning of the race to cheer him on. I am so glad that we did. It was worth the driving, waiting, and the heat!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SPUDMAN!!!
Dave's brother also ran in the same race. He finished before we arrived, otherwise I would have pictures of him as well. We saw his time on the list. He did amazingly well! Congratulations, Jason!!!
