"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

A Walk in the Park

Our city just completed a new park and held a Grand Opening party. It was all free and a lot of fun. There were free hot dogs, chips, drinks, brownies, ice cream, snow cones, and balloons. There was a cookie walk, bounce house, pony rides, merry-go-round, bucket train ride, "princesses", and oh yeah, the new playground. :)

The boys were in heaven...climbing through and on a real tank.

Each of the kids won a frisbee by throwing it through a hula hoop. In fact, Dave won one as well...so basically, I am a gimp at throwing frisbees and brought shame upon our family when I missed...twice. :(

McKenna is clearly not ready for the princesses at Disneyland. She was terrified of "Cinderella".

I LOVE the picture of McKenna hating on Cinderella. The look on her face is perfect fear. But really, how can you be afraid of a Cinderella who is wearing a retainer?

Looks like a fun day!

I love the small town events like this that make you feel like a real person, and you can still get things for free :)
