"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

One Last Day of Summer

The second half of summer has been pretty lame for the kids. Having a new baby has really slowed things down. So I thought I'd give the kids one last day of fun before school started on Tuesday.

I couldn't help myself and had to get in. I have way too many great childhood memories in wading pools. We made an awesome whirlpool. :)

Goodbye, Summer...sniff, sniff.

YAY! It always makes my day when I see a blog post from you! They are a treat, to be sure.

I feel like summer never happened. Here in Colorado it never got much above the high 80s, so we never used our wading pool. Someone owes me a summer!

The summer that I had Jacob was a super slow one for us, too. However, it was actually really nice. I prepared the girls for it and they found lots of fun things to do. I am sure yours was much the same. You should teach my girls the whirlpool thing. They have done LOTS of things with a wading pool but I am pretty sure whirlpool isn't on the list!

Why wasn't I invited to the annual Special...I mean "Swimming" Olympics?
