"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Happy Birthday, Sister Eddington!!

My mom informed me through an email, that my "post of Taylor's baptism was getting old". So to make her happy on her birthday, I am making a new post. Here you go, Mom! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

What I miss about my mom....

My mom is a great listener.Too many times in my life I've cried to her with all my worries or insecurities and she always makes me feel better. She has a way of making a stressful situation seem doable. Every time I brought home a new baby she was there to help me emotionally. The day she leaves me alone with these children is always the hardest. I've taken her listening ear for granted and now that she's across the country I'm seeing just how much I have.

My mom is so very giving. She has literally given me the shirt off her back. She will do anything to help.

My mom has a great sense of humor. My mom is, and always will be, a kid at heart. That's where I get it from. :) She is a lot of fun to be with and full of life. And I don't know anyone that has their own vocabulary like she does. "Bash you", "Mommers gommers"...to name a few.

My mom is very talented. She can sew, play the organ, play the piano, paint, can, garden, and command attention with her finger whistle. She is putting her talents to great use on her mission. She is teaching piano to several students, teaching Relief Society lessons with a moments notice, crocheting blankets for newborn babies, and teaching the members new ways of crafting. Her faith in the Savior is definitely another gift that she shows in her actions.
Happy Birthday, Mom. I love you!!
(Does this post make up for not sending you a package? :) It's sitting right in front of me. It'll make it by Christmas...pretty sure.)

You're implying that this hasn't always been the case. Hmm...

Thank you for all the lies, Nat. I'll pretend everything you wrote is true. You are a sweetheart....as are all my daughters, sons, and daughter-in-law. I love ALL my family very much and miss everyone.

Love, Mom

I loved this post, but it's now been over a year since you posted last!! I know you've been busy, so I won't chastise you, but I'm ready for an update :) either that, or meet me for lunch sometime :)
