"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

The Eddington Reunion (part 2)

Here are more photos of the reunion. On Friday we woke up to a yummy breakfast of pancakes, hasbrowns, and sausage. There is nothing like a pancake breakfast on a cool morning in the mountains!

Every year Great-Grandma Eddington hosts a scavenger hunt for the kids.
Taylor and cousin Landon's loot. (Can you handle all the joy on their faces.)
This game was fun. We tied a pvc pipe to our waists and the goal was to swing the tennis ball, without using your hands, around the pole until the string was wrapped around the pole. Our best time was 8 seconds. It made us laugh.
The was a very gross game. One person (my uncle) is slathered with shaving cream and the other person throws Cheetos at them. At the end of the timed period, which ever team counts the most stuck Cheetos wins. We had 114.
After the games we swam in the pool for hours.

Taylor was so proud that he could swim without us holding him. He yelled to everyone "look at me. I'm doing it by myself!" He failed to realize the plethora of floaties helping him, but whatever.

Taylor thoroughly enjoyed his Icee Popcycle. His skin was stained like this until we could use soap on him. (Look at those skinny ribs!)

At the end of the evening my aunt provided all the fixings for s'mores. I've never put a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in a s'more before, but it was SO GOOD! A few of us sat around the campfire talking while the others put on another outside movie. This time it was "Night at the Museum". Derek told me after it was over, "I shouldn't have watched that movie." There were a few scary parts.

The next morning was another great breakfast and then we packed up camp. It was sad to see it end, but we were all pretty tired from all the activities and late nights. I can't wait until next year's reunion!
