"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Apple Picking at Great Grandma's House

Every year we get to help my Grandma pick apples from the trees in her backyard. We've missed the past two years due to the fact that we've been in Pennsylvania. We were so excited to get to go to Logan, Utah again this year and let our kids have some fun.
mmm...fresh from the tree.
Dave didn't demonstrate his tree climbing skills this year. Too bad.

Grandma ends up with tons of apples. This is a picture of Derek and Taylor with their cousins before the trailer reached it's full capacity. There were enough apples to fill the bottom row and another on top. Not to mention all the apples us pickers took. All the apples in the trailer go to the press to become juice. You can never go back to store bought juice once you've tasted the real stuff.

I LOVE that you posted pictures of apple-picking at Grandma's house. It was fun to see what I've been missing. I have surely missed that family tradition these past few years that we've been away from Utah. Looks like it was fun, as usual. I miss all the aunts, uncles, and cousins. Your kids are so lucky to have all that!
