An Apology to My Husband
About two years ago we were moving to a new apartment in Pennsylvania. Dave was grumbling about all the junk we have and how he wanted to declutter. He took a load of trash to the garbage and came back with a highchair that he found next to the dumpster. I murmured and complained that that wasn't my idea of "decluttering" and we didn't have enough room for it and weren't even planning on getting pregnant for a while, etc. We still moved it to our next apartment and then across the country. Well, last week we pulled it out of storage and I cleaned it up so that McKenna could use it. I spent a good hour or more detailing it and disinfecting it. (It really is in great shape. I'd guess that only one child has used it.) I was curious what it was worth, so I went online and discovered that if we were to buy the same model only new, then we would pay $209.00! Suddenly Dave's little treasure seems a little more valuable to me. So here is my apology to my husband for complaining about the hassle of storing and moving it. I love you honey! :) Forgive me??

I am proud of Dave's shameless scrounging, but I am even more proud of Natalie's clean kitchen in the background (jealous).
I KNOW!! And it really was that clean. I didn't have to push junk aside to take the shot...not that I ever do that. ;)
Hey! That's the high chair you let Ethan use when we visited you in Philly nearly 2 years ago. You just barely cleaned and disinfected it now? What kind of nast-o chair did my son sit in then? Stephanie, don't look.
I forgot that we let him use it. I guess this wasn't the first time I've cleaned it then. I know that I would have cleaned it for him before he used it. But not as detailed as I did this time. I would have remembered doing that!
That's right! Those are sweet high chairs. We had that brand (but not that nice) and did end up getting rid of it cause it was too big, but it's awesome!!
Wow Dave; I never thought you'd get so good at bargain shopping. McKenna must be so proud. And McKenna's adorable; she truly always has a smile.
