"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

A Moment of Silence...Please

Keep Dave in your prayers tonight. The poor soul is currently up on some mountain freezing in the 22 degree weather. He was just called as the assistant scout master in our ward. His first campout is...yes, snow camping. It is forcasted to be a low of 16 degrees tonight! May he make it home with all his fingers and toes.

Scouts are crazy. What's the point of camping in the snow? I don't get it.

The "Klondike" sounds brutal! I'm not looking forward to Dallin having to go next year. But, as we discussed - no bears (in hibernation), and one night of cold won't kill him (well, most likely not).

Tell me... HOW is that fun?

Jason had to do it one year as a leader. He hated it, he was cold the whole night and the other leader snored the whole time.

Today it was 22 degrees out and it felt so warm that I went jogging in the morning and for a walk in the afternoon. Minnesota hasn't gone above freezing once during January. But I can understand his pain. I hate cold weather. Good thing I live in Minnesota!

What a great calling for dave. I'm sure the trip was way more fun with him on it. Sounds miserable to me! Love Allie

Don't you almost feel guilty being the wife at home in a warm bed all to yourself? Oh ya, but then you remember worrying about the robbers. :) Good luck with that great calling guys! lucky scouts
