"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

A Snowman...the Miniature Variety

About ten days ago we had another series of major snowstorms. Here's a picture of the snow accumulation on the picnic table out front. I realized, as I was shoveling snow during our last storm, that I spend all my time, when outside...shoveling. I haven't played outside with my kids this winter, since by the time I am done shoveling my kids are done playing, or McKenna is crying for me. So this day I finished and McKenna was still napping, so Taylor and I tried to build a snowman. The sad part was that the snow was not the snowman type. We couldn't pack it enough to roll a ball, so we made a miniature version of a snowman.I'm glad it was a small dude since I only had baby carrots in the fridge. :)
We later gave him hair implants. Taylor said "he looks weird."

That is one dang cute snowman! LOVE the hair implants! Reminds me of a bad blind date I once went on.

We should introduce your 12-inch snowman to our 9-inch snowman. Although, with all your storms, I'm sure Ethan's "Gilbert the Snowman" is now 20 feet under in the parents' backyard.

Looks like a fun snow day with cute Taylor!

So cute! We haven't had a whole heckuva lot of snow here in Colorado this year yet. If we do, it has melted FAST! (can't complain!)

Love the hair!

The hair is the best part! Could you send a little snow our way? Jason and I bought sleds last weekend for what the weatherman said was 100% chance of snow, predicting 3 inches. All we got were a few flurries and I'm sure that cashier was laughing so hard the next day! At this point I'd love to have to shovel the snow!

I love the mini snowman!! Way to go Mom! That was funny what you said about baby carrots! We're freezing over here...I wish we at least had snow since it's so cold, but not a drop! So play in there for us too!!! :)
