"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

I'm a Total Wanna-be

My cousin, Gayle, has the most amazing talent in photography. I love her blog where I can see all her work. Recently she posted pictures of her flowering tree and it inspired me. As I wash dishes I can see into a neighbor's backyard and I've been watching a tree bloom. It just so happens to have the same colors of pink, white, and green that I want to use to decorate McKenna's room. So yesterday I became a "wanna-be Gayle" and tried to take pictures to hang in her new room. My camera is nowhere near as nice as hers, nor do I have her talent, but I still didn't come anywhere near her photos. I really couldn't zoom in close enough, even with my macro. I even busted out my film SLR camera and had the pictures developed...nice try, but no cigar. Some might work out...we'll see. Here are the best of what I took on my digital camera. Gayle, can Photoshop help these??

Yes--Photoshop could help the pictures. It can't work miracles (actually, it probably can, but not the way I use it), but Photoshop can help what is already there. You can email me the pictures and I can work on them a bit.

We have a tree just like that - must be an apple tree. I commented the other day to Leon, "Isn't that pink and green on that tree cute?" He thought "cute" was the wrong word, but I don't think so. It will make a perfect girl's room. Can I help?

Yes of course you can help, Stephanie! I know that I want light green/sage walls and pink rugs, accessories, etc. But beyond that I am clueless! I'll take anyone's advice!
