"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Crazy Hair Day

The boys' elementary school held a crazy hair day for all the students. Derek requested a Mohawk and Taylor wanted spiky hair. I used a lot of gel and mouse to accommodate their requests. Needless to say, they were very excited for school that day. I repeated over and over..."This is just for one day." and "Don't get used to this look". I personally wanted to spray color into their hair, but surprisingly they didn't want it.

And for some of us...it's pretty natural to have a crazy hair day.

It's amazing how just changing a hair-do can bring out the "toughness" in the boys. Taylor looks like he's ready to take someone down! Fun times.

Cute pictures. I love the spikes! Our kids have their crazy hair day next week. My boys' hair is so short, since Jared became the barber (I retired). There's not much we can do with it. Jacob said no way when I suggested putting in a hair bow or ribbon:) for laughs, but I'm going to have fun with my daughters hair that goes down to her waist. Maybe we'll try the Pippi Longstocking look.

Funny Natalie! Poor McKenna to be the brunt of your hair joke. But, "Run, McKenna, run!" After having read your Aunt Laurel' blog, your mom is on her way to the store to buy pink foam rollers as we speak!
