"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Eddington Family Reunion (Part 2)

June 27, 2012

The last day of the reunion we woke up, ate breakfast, packed up, and had some spare time before our next activity. So we drove up to the Rexburg Temple. It sits on a hill overlooking the valley. We walked around the grounds with the kids and took some pictures....of course.

We then met up with the reunion crew at the local park. We ate a picnic lunch and then filled a Bluebird school bus in order to take a tour of Grandma Lila's historic sites. It was a huge learning experience for me. It was neat to actually see the places that I've heard stories of and had only seen in pictures. A lot of the buildings were gone, but some remained. We visited a couple cemeteries and I learned many stories of my ancestors. After the tour we piled into the vans and made our way back to Utah. It was another great family reunion and I look forward to the next!!

We were privileged to host Traci and her kids for a couple days after the reunion. We were exhausted from the previous days' events and just spent our time playing with the kids and chatting on the couch. It was heavenly! (These last pictures were stolen from Traci...thanks!)
