baby swing and free umbrella stroller: $89
a clean kitchen
dinner made with both hands
an extra two games of Settlers of Zarahemla with husband: priceless.

We finally broke down and bought a new baby swing. We LOVE it! She doesn't hang out too long in it, but just long enough that I can get a few things done around here. My other new favorite toy is a baby monitor. We've never owned one, but after a couple times finding her crying when she wasn't due to be awake made us think it was time to get one. I can't emphasize enough how much I love it. The monitor lights up when it senses sound, so I can make all the noise I want and just look over to see if I see any lights. I can take a shower, blow dry my hair, wash the dishes, etc. and not worry that she's crying without my knowledge. And I'm not sticking my ear to the door every two minutes to see if she's crying. I LOVE it!!!

I loved what your wrote at the beginning! :) She is so tiny in that swing!! I remember Lexi being so little in the swing and now her two feet are hanging out and her arms go a flying!! That's also cool about your monitors..what brand are they? I want some!! :) And now you have me craving Settlers!!!
It's the Fisher Price Lights and Sounds (I think that's the name) Monitor. It was only $17 at Walmart and it works great! Sometimes it does pick up a radio station, so I also enjoy a hint of background music all day. :) I've heard that some monitors can be pretty loud with static, but it's completely quiet as far as that goes.
That's awesome Natalie! I wish I could find my monitor!! You're motivating me to go look for it :) McKenna is a doll though!!!
Just wait till you discover some of the other new inventions, bumbos, and all sorts of new things. Keep your eye on craigslist, and find some cheap treasures, I sure fell in love with them this time around.
