"If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly." - Pres. Thomas Monson

Never Say "No" to Dinner

This blog is quickly becoming a log for all of Taylor's scars. Here's the latest injury. A couple weeks ago, I was serving dinner to the boys and as I was trying give Taylor a scoop of rice, he put out his hand to block me. About five pieces of hot rice got on his hand and instead of brushing them off, he let them burn him. We put his hand under cold water, but I had no idea that rice could do such damage. He had very large blisters from where the rice had contact. Poor Taylor.

HOLY COW! I'm thinkin' Social Services might need a call on that one! (Kidding) :)
Now everytime you have rice, I'll bet 'cha money that'll come up. I accidentally burned both my girls with a curling iron when they were about 4 and I tell ya, I heard about it EVERY single time I curled their hair for about 2 months!! Their "battle wounds" were nowhere NEAR what his are, too! Maybe it's just girls... we never forget anything!! Right?

Well, that's one way to get your kids to eat what you're serving. :) He's still smiling, looks like he's a trooper.

yikes- I'll have to remember that when I'm forcing my delicious food on the girls. By the way, Spencer and I are very impressed with the bunk bed. I'll find some plans and forward them on so Dave can get started on our Christmas present!

Those blisters are nothing! Don't let Natalie dupe you into thinking that ALL rice is naturally this hot...I put a whole spoonful of that inferno-hot rice into my mouth and now I can only communicate with people by typing messages out on computer or texting...thank goodness for technology, and for Al Gore inventing the internet. God bless the USA...'cause we are in trouble!

That's some pretty toasty rice! I can't believe it! I think Taylor just got that calling to be the "stiches boy" of the family. p.s. You crack me up, Dave :)--I was wondering what the secret was to having such hot rice!
